Dr T H Chowdary holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications. Before becoming the first chairman and managing director of the VSNL's Indian Overseas Telecom Corporation, he has held several key portfolios at policy making levels with the Government of India including serving as Deputy Director-General of Telecoms. He has visited over forty countries as participant in ITU and other international organisation conferences as speaker, discussant, chairman and delegate. He has been Governor INTELSAT, Washington and INMARSAT, London; President of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (INDIA); UNO/ITU's Senior Expert in Guyana (1985) and Team Leader in Yemen (1990-1991). He currently heads the Centre for Telecom Management and Studies (CTMS) in Hyderabad, India.
Since May 1997, Dr Chowdary is the Information Technology Advisor to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the rank of a Minister for State and is responsible for numerous electronic governance projects in the State. Andhra Pradesh is now held to be the model for other Indian states for electronic governance. Information Technology and Communications are also being used in Andhra Pradesh under his advice and guidance for education in the professional colleges, all of which are being fitted with electronic classrooms, V-SAT and optical fiber connectivity for interactive (audio and video) conduct of classes. |

Professor A Gnanam started his academic/science career as a plant scientist and co-founded the School of Biological Science at Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai.
Professor Gnanam later took to education administration from 1985-1997 when he served as Vice-Chancellor for 3 universities including Bharathidasan University, Trichirapalli, University of Madras, Chennai and Pondicherry University (for two terms).
Well known for his significant contributions to higher education systems, including pioneering several innovative and best practices, Professor Gnanam served as the Chairman of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore established by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India. He is currently the Chairman of the Executive Committee of NAAC and also the INSA Senior Scientist at Pondicherry University. With over 130 publications in science and higher education areas, Professor Gnanam is a member/fellow of a number of national and international professional bodies. |

He is a visiting Faculty & Advisory Committee member in various Management Institiutes in India and abroad. He has published numerous scholarly articles and practiced them in the field of organizational development throughout his career.
Mr. Jagota is Chairman of National Institute of Personnel Management (Delhi Chapter). He was Vice President of National HRD Network (Delhi Chapter) and President of Rotary Club- Delhi North West. |

Mr Dilip Mahapatra holds an Engineering degree from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University and an MBA degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur with over 18 years of experience in managing operations, people, marketing and logistics. He has had a very illustrious career in industry. As Director - Learning Centers, Mr Mahapatra has been instrumental in expanding Zed Career Academy (Zed CA) from 156 centres to more than 300 across South Asia. These comprehensive centres consist of web portals, multimedia and the print, supported by a ground network of learning centres, equipped with Interactive Learning, across South Asia with the capability to address a variety of learning needs.
Recipient of the Client of the Year award for Leadership Management International (LMI) USA, Mr Mahapatra was also nominated for the prestigious Dadabhai Naoroji award. He is currently the Chairman of National Association of Companies for Technology Training (NACTT). |

Dr. Mitra works in the areas of Cognitive Science, Information Science and Educational Technology. He has been working on these areas as well as on Physics and Energy for more than 20 years. Dr. Mitra has taught and researched at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, HCL Limited, The Technical University of Vienna, Austria and United India Periodicals. He has worked with NIIT Limited in its formative years and has created that organisations instructional development and R&D laboratories. He is currently Principal Scientist and Senior Vice President with NIIT.
Dr. Mitra is an advisor to a number of Government and other organisations in India, the USA and Australia. He was Vice President of the All India Association for Educational Technology, and is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences (USA), the Planetary Society (USA), the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE, USA) and the Press Club of India. |

| Professor Arun Nigavekar is presently the Vice-chairman of the University Grants Commission. Prior to this assignment, he was the Vice Chancellor of University of Pune. He is a materials scientist and is a Professor in Physics. He has a long experience in the field of higher education. He also has produced several multi media educational films. He is the pioneer in the higher-education-quality movement in India. He was the founder Director of National Assessment and Accreditation Council, a body set up by the University Grants Commission to judge quality in higher education institutions in India.
