Abstract:
In this paper we present the evaluation results of the web based teaching and learning environment (http://www.learning-online.intercol.edu:8900, User Name: guest1, Password: guest1), which was developed using the WebCT software. The on-line material was developed as part of a 2-year project (September 2000 September 2002) funded by Intercollege andthe Research Promotion Foundation of Cyprus. During the Spring 2002 semesterstudents used the material of the courses COMP 153 Visual Basic and COMP-351 Information Systems Concepts(found at the given URL address) as supporting learning material. The material for all the courses was designed as such and not to provide a complete distance learningenvironment. We wanted to provide our students with additional educational support and this consideration was always inmind when designing and developing the supporting material. Here in, we report on how the students rated the WebCT software environment and the on-line supporting tools for each of the two courses they studied and present a summary for both courses
