With
the recognition of Indian education in the international circuit, and an
apparently unique assimilation of academic
courses, an increasing number of foreign students have flown in from
various nations to satisfy their desire for learning more. India has a pretty
impressive list of universities and colleges sprawled across its major
states and cities, which have inducted numerous foreign students from time to
time. The richness of the Indian culture, and an inexhaustible well of
explorable subjects trigger the curiosity and desire of these foreign students
to widen their horizon of
knowledge. Since quite some time now, the influx of foreign students to
India has showed a steady increase. With reputed universities such as
Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Calcutta University, etc.
offering some much sought after courses for foreign students, India has raked
in on the reputation for being a commendable destination for quality education.
The Indian government, for that matter has also worked on its education policies
to enable such foreign students all the facilities and the help that they might
require.
State education departments and official bodies of various universities
have also come forward to offer their succor to these students. Moreover, the
surreal atmosphere enshrouding a majority of the colleges acts as an
element prodding them to reach out off the ordinary. These international
students are expected to satisfy their enquiries regarding matters, such as
reservation of seats, fee structure, etc. through the respective universities
and colleges.
1/3 of the 15 per cent supermumerary seats in educational institutions (except
medical) are reserved for children of NRIs in the Gulf and South East Asia. |
